I also had a Ford ranger with virtually no problems, just a few buttons that fell off. I now have a VW (05 Jetta) with just a little over 100,000miles on it. No problems. Reliability is know from 2 years of production onwards. It's more to it than that. Most brands share parts and platforms too. The perks of working in the industry.
