The TV only has? 1024x768 pixels.. so you barely use the details that 1080p signal provides.
To some, the loss in detail ain't too discernible specially at a certain distance from the set.

Some (in avsforum) that this is inherent in all plasma displays and only varies on how much evident it can be. So it doesn't mean that if you don't notice it, it's not there. It just means it's very subtle and can be negligible. :)
Again, there's no consensus so far if this is truly inherent on all plasma displays.
This is the LG 42PW350 720p 3D Plasma HDTV
Plasma ABL (Auto Brightness Limiter or Brightness Fluctuation) - depending on how much bright the content is on the display at one time, the display may dim or brighten.
It's fairly faint (not too obvious) when you watch this vid but is very noticeable in real life.
Horizontal Line Bleed - faint lines across the screen against the white google background in this video.

just try to test the hybrid tv-monitor using an antena for old TV sets.. and im kinda surprised it works..
Too bad, i got a monitor that has a pretty bad backlight bleed from the bottom, but oh well, i can live w/ it peacefully! :P

But if you are gonna be playing games with the PS3 in 1080p/i, I dont think you'd be having any problem. This way more of a computer monitor than a TV.
