By: lkrnpk. on 12 Mar 12, 02:12:36 well, not really... it's at least much more regulated and at least partially (even if it's only a small part) based on something that has real value. Ponzi scheme is just a very simple way of redistributing the money. Both the b anking? system and Ponzi schemes eventually face problems but with Banking system the worst would probably be crisis like this while Ponzi scheme leaves you with no money whatsoever....
You can make a? lot ... By: ladrifter764. on 06 Feb 12, 13:20:38 You can make a? lot of money doing this. For example, I used this scheme on my entire family since they naturally had a strong foundation of confidence in me (good reputation.) Now I just travel the world as I please, sleeping with random men and women.

Debt that cannot be repaided because the interest does not exist in the money supply, therefore more loans and more debt have to be made to serve the previously? existing debt... At some point this whole scheme is collapsing too.

Exactly no sell ... By: GMK20. on 29 Oct 11, 06:08:15 Exactly no sell just money moved around some kept from the investor and/or use to start a business fuck this foos look and his estate settled the claims against it for $7.2 billion. J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. may have also benefitted from the scheme -- through interest and fees charged -- to the tune of $1 billion.? Trustee Irving Picard has filed suit seeking the return of $1 billion and damages of $5.4 billion. Morgan denied complicity.
@cornbreaddd- ... By: moneyandsociety. on 14 Oct 11, 22:12:35 @cornbreaddd- apparently I didn't explain it very well. When I say that they? were not actual investments what I mean is that the ponzi schemer is not taking it and investing in actual financial products (stocks, bonds, mutual funds, etc.). Instead he is just borrowing money from other clients and giving it to his new clients.

I'm young and don't know too much about this but have heard to be weary of pyramid scams. He says it's not a pyramid scam because it's based on "volume" ? What does that mean. When? this lady says these investments are fraudulent and aren't actual investments, what does she mean by that? How are they not actual investments? Thanks in advance

Hi there, when the ... By: Cosairman. on 05 Oct 11, 14:32:42 Hi there, when the money goes to the Ponzi schemer would it not be fair to say that it goes into the schemers deposit bank account?
If it does, the money would in fact be making a return of sorts in the sense that the interest rate although small would be large return if the clients? put a lot of money (millions) into the schemers bank account.
Is this correct?

So you must get in ... By: thehouso. on 25 Sep 11, 10:26:33 So you must get in when it first starts up, not after a month of operating cause that's when it usually goes bust. It's gr8 as long as everyone reinvests but as you know once peole make their 20K, they leave instead of putting another measlly $200 to keep it going. I have been to these hall pyramid games and have walked away with $80,000 minus the $200 bucks when it crashed, so i walked away a winner? and always reinvested to make everyone else winner.
the typical ponzi/ ... By: thehouso. on 25 Sep 11, 10:20:03 the typical ponzi/pyramid scheme starts with you investing $200 and when 10 other people have also invested $200, you walk away with $2,000. There is usually another game where you invest the $2,000 and when 10 other? investors who have just got their $2,000 invest also you walk away with $20,000. When the scheme first starts up you can make your $20,000 in 20 mins cause there are so many people wanting to make the same. This all usually happens in church halls, etc on a sunday night in Aust.

By: thehouso. on 25 Sep 11, 10:14:23 gee you yanks have weird terminology sometimes, us aussies call that a pyramid scheme, the first one in melb australia was called the concord cause when you got to the top of the pyramid you were called the pilot and then you flew away. When the message went around that the concord had crashed, people killed themselves. It crashes when there are no new investors to be found. It is up to? the people who have just invested money to get their friends and family to invest so they can move up.

At the end of the video and diagram, you say that the investors ended up with the bad debt and that somehow the investment banks were safe.
Does that not mean that the investment bank suffered also?
Are the investors and the investment bank not one of the same? in this case?
