Si-jo is a Korean ... By: leftysergeant. on 25 May 08, 06:10:48 Si-jo is a Korean form, three lines, each divisible into at least two parts. Syllable count is variable, generally 14-18 per line, the second line being the longest, and presenting a "turn,"? or change in emphasis or mood, with a strong finish. By convention, some Western publishers print them as six lines for convenience to fit the standard printed format. Their origin is apparently as songs, or perhaps as part of the repetoire of chamber music.

I am subscribed to RogerStevensPoet - a channel for? children's poetry, with an increasing group of his poetry videos, and others by such as Michael Rosen. I'm not the one to say if it is good, but I am also gradually adding to my 'Poetry for Children' playlist. Best wishes to all, Mark.

Luckily, other than? his dad's Korean eyes and my oddly-shaped head, he seems to look more like his mother's side of the family. I do hope that I can guide him in apreciating the cultural heritage of all the lines that crossed to bring him into the world, and to respect the differences.
