first fun of the season, after 6 month of -30 in the winter of Edmonton 2010.
quad just received valve adjustment by me, because it didn't start well(very easy to do), rear axle bearings and front a arms.
everything went smooth, as you can see, but we still having this bugging issue, as you can hear at the 49 sec mark, any idea? ?? can it be weak accelerator pump?

the valves on the raptor are very very easy to adjust, especially compare to a new dirt bike. if you have the owners manuals u should be good to go.
the manuals sey that you need a special tool to adjust the valves(wrong), i didnt use 1 and it work like a charm with a little creative thinking.(i think it was a small plair and a small screwdriver that? did the job). u will need a feeler gage 2.

but the biggest thing made me chose the yz450f was the reliability!! and as u know or not honda reliability suck asss.
valves problems all the time and more.
lots of older yamahas still complatly stock compare to honda that you wont find any.
i dont realy know much on the 07 and over honda but ill go with reliability over? anything.
oh and yes it alsow felt better compare to hondas.

this was cold start, and yes it does take some time to warm up but it rip so well with this gears even in first gear only which i find easyer to use anyway, but when i go all out second gear will kick in when its been warmes up.
the engine gave up 3 tanks after this vid and after about 5 gallons of bushing. check other rc vids.
