I bought this Katana, and it was sharp, but not sharp to my flavor being a black smith, and knife maker knowing steels, and edges. So I sharpened it with a 6000grit japanese water stone, which after mudding up was probably near ~ 10,000 grit polishing of the edge.

Each release to the user I have a special hard coded ID for THAT user. I keep a log of who is who on a notepad on my PC. The userid , their computer name, the authorization code, and their IP address gets logged to my FTP log file.
If I set their authorization code to a particular number. My program will no longer work for them!

This is to show genuine authenticity that not only the knife was hand made, but it can endure abuse. This way the owner doesnt have to hack 2x4's in half and shave to show his buddies it can still shave you. Instead he just pops in the DVD and there is all his proof. This generally creates me more sales also :) People want their own knife? after seeing such a DVD.

I had to substantially drop the price to 300$ in order to sell the knife? as fast as I needed the money which was within a weeks time. To make the handle for this work horse. I used 15yr old leather, and gorilla glue. When used properly and wrapped properly the handle will hold for a lifetime, be virtually indestructable, and gives a solid firm grip.

With ATF.. even when it was cold. I had quenched with it cold as an experiment. The knife endured all my abuse test superbly.
However I have not tried a cold quench with vegi oil. (I know this all is against what others suggest,? but I find myself that I must test to see why for myself). ATF I will argue with anyone.. it can be cold, and quenches supremely!
I will test this on vegi oil soon just as a learning experience.
