We camped right by the cliff after a MONSTEROUS mountain hike we made through-out the night. All that after the guys teame up with another Boy Scout troop and played capture the flag in the basin camps with a BIG all girl youth group from Midland Texas.

good clean fun with 4.5 lbs of tannerite and a bullet ridden washing machine, then 1lb with a couch cushion. we were showered with metal shrapnel from above and the blast was felt from a mile away.

Cleaning agents with TCE's in them! There are PCB's on every valve and mercury in every switch. I also don't doubt there is loose asbestos and lead in the paint.

The water is from intrusion due to hydraulic pressure. Many silos have areas which are below the water table. They were built with pumps to remove the water; pumps, which, of course, have not worked for many years.

You have to remember, these things were built in the 60's, there's a ton of asbestos and potentially dioxin toxins, that is the reason for the aforementioned flooded areas...the water prevents asbestos from rising. It's also a felony to go to abandoned silos. But thanks for posting, it's fascinating :)

There was more to this silo that was flooded. Silos are? extremely cool to explore, some have underground warehouses.
